El Crater Hotel is located thirty minutes away from Quito and eight minutes from the Middle of the World. At the border of the crater El Pululahua, the only inhabited in the world and close to the rainforest, the landscape is permanently changing. It shows a wide diversity of birds and orchids. The area is conceived as a mystical place and it allows the visitor to recover harmony and peace.
The Project has been created with an alternative architecture built with materials of the region. Our comfortable buildings are covered with pumice stone which gives a nice and warm temperature. The decoration is minimalist and it has an ethnical touch. Our Deluxe Suites and double and simple rooms have a panoramical view of the crater of the volcano Pululahua and the Middle of the World.
El Crater restaurant has already sixteen years and it is the world-widely recognized. We offer local and international cuisine. The art gallery shows work from the best Ecuadorian sculptors and painters. Two multiple use rooms are ideal for working groups and workshops. We also propose self-growing workshops and SPA facilities in the room.
